BSCE CURRICULUM (2018)

CURRICULUM OVERVIEW

The current BS in Civil Engineering Curriculum was approved and enacted on August of 2018 following its approval from the BOR Resolution no. 73, S. of 2018 which was based from CHED Memorandum No. 92, S. 2017.

The curriculum was designed to be finished in 4 years or 10 Semesters, with two semesters in the Midyear. It has a total of 187 credit units, where 50 units of which is for Non-Technical Courses, while 137 units is for Technical Courses.

Non-Technical Courses covers the General Education Courses (33 units) with the Elective/Mandated Courses (3 units), Physical Education Courses (8 units), and the National Service Training Program (6 units) .

On the other hand, Technical Courses covers Mathematics Courses (18 units), Natural and Physical Science Courses (8 units), Basic Engineering Science Courses (27 units), Civil Engineering Common Courses (60 units), Seminar/Industry Immersion/CE Project Courses (9 units), and Specialized Professional Course (15 units) where a student may choose from Construction Engineering and Management (CEM), Structural Engineering (Struc Engg), Transportation Engineering (Transpo Engg), Geotechnical Engineering (GeoTech Engg), or Water Resources (Water Engg).
